GRAPE: 80% Prugnolo Gentile, 10% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon
WINEMAKER NOTES: 18 months in Allier oak casks and in Allier barriques, 10 months in bottle. A wine of substantial body and structure, it has great character and is highly suitable for aging.
TASTING NOTES: Ruby red color, bright and strong. Intense and fragrant bouquet, with clear-cut fruity notes of raspberry, sweet violet and blackberry, followed by vanilla and coffee. Soft and velvety flavor at first, the acidity is well-balanced and in harmony with the alcohol and the tannins, the latter are present but not aggressive.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Goes well with flavorful traditional pasta courses, game, well matured cheeses and seasoned meats.
