WINEMAKER NOTES: Maceration for about 8 - 10 days in temperature-controlled barrels. Aging in tonneau (500 liters) for 6 months with the following bottle aging.
Tasting Notes: Ruby red color with narrow arches. Intense aroma, vinous and fresh. Floral and fruity hints reminiscent of fresh fruit with a slight note of wild rose. Rightly tannic, soft and fresh. Pleasant, full-bodied with a persistent aftertaste.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Excellent with Piemontese classics like carne cruda, vitello tonatto, agnolloti del plin and tajerin.
ABOUT THE WINERY: Located in the heart of the Barolo area in the small hamlet of Garbelletto, beneath the town of Castiglione Falletto the winery was founded in 1924 by grandfather Cavalier Bartolomeo, who learned to vintage the grapes of his own vineyards thanks to his father. Three generations later, most of the vines are now renewed except for those belonging to the Nebbiolo da Barolo, which remained intact and untouched; the cellar was modernized and improved with the introduction of a selected use of the barriques as well as new and more supervised means of fermentation.
