WINERY: Vite Colte
COUNTRY: Italy
REGION: Piemonte
APPELLATION: Barbaresco D.O.C.G
GRAPE: 100% Nebbiolo
WINEMAKER NOTES: This wine is produced using a historical technique that blends batches from different microclimates to create a unique and complex taste profile. After traditional alcoholic fermentation at 28-30 °C for about 20 days, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation before aging in large oak barrels for up to one year. This process imparts a smooth and velvety texture to the wine, which is complemented by its rich and bold flavors
TASTING NOTES: Ruby red color shading to garnet. Very intense and really complex bouquet, with scents of ripe plum and black cherry. Exhibiting powder coffee and tobacco notes as well. On the palate is rich and generous. Persistent with sweet and well integrated tannins. The finish and aftertaste show notes of vanilla and cherry.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Great with rich meat-based preparations. Also, excellent at the end of a meal, on medium-aged cheeses.
