WINERY: Giuseppe Nada
COUNTRY: Italy
REGION: Piemonte
APPELLATION: Langhe Bianco
GRAPE: 55% Sauvignon Blanc, 45% Arneis, 5% Favorita
WINEMAKER NOTES: The Armonia Bianco bottling from Enrico Nada is made from a blend of mainly sauvignon blanc and arneis. The wine is raised entirely in stainless steel and does not go through malolactic fermentation. This is very tasty and quite unique in
its varietal composition.
TASTING NOTES: The color is pale straw yellow with golden reflections. The scent is floral and reminiscent of yeast and bread crust; the Sauvignon provides intense and floral aromas while the Arneis gives body, minerality and volume. The flavor is rich, savory and fresh.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Excellent for grilled seafood, light pasta dishes and robust cheeses.
ABOUT THE WINERY: Giuseppe Nada is one of those winemakers —from a family with roots as deep as any vine on their tiny organic farm, located on a hillside in Treiso. Critics and collectors have chased these wines for decades, and with good reason. They’re not cult faves, yet almost universally critically acclaimed—content to stay below the radar and skip the fanfare of being the “It” wine in favor of producing singular and unforgettable expressions of Northern Italy. Founded in 1900, the winery was one of the first local producers to bottle wines in Albeisa bottles, the traditional bottle from Alba. Known for their excellent and fiercely traditional winemaking, the estate is today managed by Giuseppe, his wife Nella, and children Barbara and Enrico.
