In the Francone wine range the Langhe Rosso Doc Settecento is the “modern choice”, being very drinkable and adaptable. It is produced from a classic blend of different grapes (Freisa, Nebbiolo and Barbera) revealing body and longevity - thanks to Nebbiolo grape, while Freisa and Barbera give freshness and fruity character. A great wine for every moment and every menu.
Vineyards: Different vineyards in the municipality of Neive
Grape varieties: Freisa, Nebbiolo, Barbera in different percentages depending on the vintage.
Serving temperature: 16-18 °C
Winemaking: Manual harvest in early October. Fermentation and maceration of about 10 days. At least 15 months ageing in 700-litre oak casks.
Tasting notes: Bright ruby red in colour. Intense and complex aroma featuring a perfect blend of fruity notes, cherry and red berries, with vanilla, spices and tobacco. Rich and full in the mouth with balanced acidity and smooth tannins.
Pairings: Hot appetizers, egg-pasta dishes, grilled or roasted meat, medium-ripened or old-ripened cheese.
