The Grape:
Montepulciano is a red wine grape grown widely in central Italy, most notably its eastern Abruzzo and Marche regions. Montepulciano wines are widely appreciated for their soft flavors and strong color pigments. Gentle tannins and a tamed acidity create medium bodied wines that are truly crowd pleasing.
Winemaking:
The grapes are destemmed and fermented with skin contact for about 10 days. The wine is aged in 3,000- and 6,000-liter Slavonian oak casks for 12 months.
Tasting Notes:

from the 2018 Rosso Cònero Piancarda, a ripe, medium to full-bodied, pleasure-bent beauty that does everything right. Wonderfully balanced, it is fresh, yet also textured and lengthy
