WINEMAKER NOTES: From vineyards situated over 200 meters above sea level in Mezzane di Sotto and the Valle d’Illasi. This wine mirrors the clayey-calcareous soils in which the vines grow, aged 10-15 years, adding layers of depth and complexity to the final product. After a careful harvest and meticulous vinification, the wine rests in French and American oak barrels, further refining its character.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: The wine's span of flavors would work well next to a simple meat dish like grilled pork, lamb chops or more complex braised dishes like ossubuco.
In the year 1992 the Morini family bought an historical farm house from the early 1900's, surrounded by splendid vineyards in the heart of Val di Mezzane. In this peaceful area the family decided to build a new building for the vinification and maturation cellar. Today, this modern and functional building allows us to produce up to 3000 quintals of wines thanks to the 5 modern, fully automated, 150-quintal fermentation vats that reduce oxidation of the future wine to a minimum.
