Parmigiano-Reggiano is an Italian hard cheese that is produced from cow's milk and has aged 12–36 months. It has been called the "King of Cheeses" and a "practically perfect food," and we couldn't agree more!

It is named after the producing areas, the provinces of Parma, Reggio Emilia, the part of Bologna west of the Reno, and Modena. Parmigiano is the Italian adjective for Parma and Reggiano for Reggio Emilia.

Suggested for the cheese board or over your favorite pasta.
