WINEMAKER NOTES: The name is from there being blooming "strawberry trees", called "Albatro" around the vineyard which have strawberry like fruits that are called "Albatrelle". These fleshy and rough berries have a bright scarlet red color and represent the typical freshness, youth, and balance of a wine such as "Albatreto"

TASTING NOTES: Aromas include dark cherries, dark plums, blackberries, boysenberries, blueberries, and an interesting note of very fertile earth.  Flavors include blackberries, dark cherries, and blueberries.  There is a medium body but with deep palate penetration, good balance and acidity, and a long medium finish.

PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Traditional Tuscan pastas such as pici and acquacotta, white meats and poultry in general, soft cheeses.
